What type of Counselling do you do?

I use a wide rang of different therapies. This includes talking therapies such as Psychodynamic, CBT, Person Centred or Rogerian and Gestalt.

I’ve had talking therapy for my trauma and it made me worse.

Many experts believe this can re-traumatise or even make things worse. It was for these reasons that I trained as an EMDR practitioner. EMDR doesn’t require you to talk in detail, about your traumatic experiences. For more information about EMDR click the button below.

What’s the ACA?

The ACA is the Australian Counselling Association. ACA is Australia’s largest single registration body for Counsellors and Psychotherapists with over 11,000 members. ACA serves a crucial role in advocating and advancing the profession of counselling and psychotherapy.

I’m a Level 4 member and an ACA registered Clinical Counsellor and Supervisor.

What can Counselling help with?

Counselling works with many issues including grief and loss, relationships, separations, workplace, life changes and self-esteem.

What is Counselling?

Counselling is exploring your issues with someone who will listen and isn’t involved personally. It’s a safe, confidential place to talk about things you can’t say to others. My training means I’m not going to be shocked or judge you. You can safely show your emotions. I can also help you to explore life options.

Do you do Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)?

Yes, CBT can be very effective on its own. CBT focuses on your symptoms and looks at making changes to help you cope. It’s also useful as part of a wider package of therapy.
