What can Hypnotherapy do?
Clinical hypnotherapy can make change happen. It can be used for a wide range of issues including addressing Anxiety, Negative Thoughts, Behaviours and Habits, Smoking and Vape Cessation, Phobias, Relationship Issues, Grief And Loss, Self-Confidence and Public Speaking.
It releases negative feelings. It helps to integrate new strategies, and strengths. It creates subconscious change as new responses, thoughts, attitudes, behaviours or feelings.
It can also be used to complement other therapies.
Is it mind control?
Trance is a natural process where your mind is more receptive to positive suggestions. At any time you can naturally come out of the trance by just by opening your eyes, stretching or speaking. Any suggestions you don’t want are rejected.
Will I quack like a duck?
Not unless you want to and you don’t need to be hypnotised to do that. This myth is based on stage hypnotists shows, using carefully screened, primed and selected volunteers who want to act on the stage.
Is hypnotherapy supernatural?
Hypnotherapists do not have special powers. It’s based on many years of clinical research by psychologists such as Freud, Yung, and Erickson.
Is it a miracle cure?
Hypnosis is a relatively quick method of making permanent change, but it isn’t a miracle cure. For example, it can’t make you give up smoking if you don’t really want to. You always have choice. Be very wary of anyone making exaggerated claims.
